
mypetfat has become known all over the world in the past few years as a "visually motivating" weight loss icon ever since daily candy posted Keep Your Enemies Close.
People on diets all over the world, Trainer's, Counselor's, and even Doctor's, Nurses and Nutritionists order mypetfat in various sizes as a visual "mental motivator" to keep their weight loss, exercise or wellness goals in mind.
But today's article in the New York Times is the beginning of a whole new converstation we're hoping mypetfat starts stirring up as we continue to help fight the global battle of the bulge 1LB at a time. Weight loss is not only for women, it's for all of us, men, women, young adults, teens and especially children.
After struggling to lose weight for years, with the help of what has become known as mypetfat and some new thinking, I was able to successfully lose 115LBS. But like it happens to many people [even Oprah] I became stuck in a kind of weight loss limbo, putting some LBS back on, dropping a few LBS, gaining a few LBS and so on...
Now there are lots and lots of great diet books out there and they all can help but I was always surprised that for all of the diet books that were published I couldn't find the book that I always knew in my gut was the missing ingredient, the missing link that I have held as my mantra that "fat, it's all in our heads".
Then I found the... "pink book".
I first read about Dr. Beck's work in Forbes magazine, then there was a small mention about her book in an issue of Oprah. So off to the book store I went to buy yet another of the many other "diet" books I've owned.
So as I stood there scanning the "pink book" I noticed right away that not only was this a "thinking" book, no recipies to be found, that's all it was, a "thinking" book.
At first glance Dr.Beck seemed to have written the book that I had always wondered why no one had written.
And now after having followed her "thinking" for the past 49 days not only have I lost 35LBS, more importantly I really feel that I've "gained" a whole new mindset.
This book is a "must-have" book for EVERYONE who is on a diet, is thinking about being on a diet, or even never wants to diet ever again.
It's the missing "mental" OS [operating system] that we've all needed no matter what diet we've ever been on, or ever will be on.
All diets work, they do, for a while, it's not the diet that fails it's our "thinking" that fails and Dr. Beck's book is truly the solution.
Without it, continue to proceed at your own risk and keep trying to beat the odds of being in the 5% that lose the weight and keep it off.
