I just wanted to give my own Beck Solution update on my progress, for extra inspiration to folks...
...my scale says I lost about 7 lbs since I started using the Beck techniques!!
What's strange is that I have been writing down my calorie info, and was coming up with some pretty strange numbers, and I thought I was way off.
(They say my body uses about 3400 cals a day, due to my weight, activity, being a male, etc.)
But, 7 lbs = 24,000 cals.
I started the Beck program 13 days ago.
So that means I have lost an average of about 1900 calories a day!!
(24,500 / 13).
Those are the kind of numbers I was coming up with, but I though they were wrong, but they really aren't that far off.
So again, I DON'T recommend what I did, as I am only supposed to be STARTING the Beck program today, meanwhile I've lost about 7 lbs, but that is because I understood the CBT stuff right away, and cut out my junkfood pigging, which was about 1000-1500 cals a day.
:-)
So I am just reporting the facts as they stand.
It hasn't been that difficult, its been a little uncomfortable at times, but its more than worth it. To be honest, its been a lot of fun.
Maybe I will slow down a bit, and that's fine.
Onwards!!
They say my ideal goal weight requires about 3,000 calories a day. Hey, I can do that everyday no problem. That's a lot of food still. I am supposing these online calculators are somewhat accurate, and they do correlate with eachother.
I am making posts in this thread at 3fatchicks.com, as they have an active thread about the Beck Diet Solution.

CBT Fan, you're doing great!
When I first started on the Beck Diet Solution I lost a lot of weight up front as well and Dr. Beck even commented that I shouldn't get too excited because sooner or later that would slow down. But still about 10 weeks into her approach I'm averaging 3-4LBS weight loss a week.
Keep up the great work.
Also I'm still trying to get a hold of Dr. Beck about our men's group but she's out of the country right now.

Judith Beck replied on her blog in a comment, that they plan on setting up an online community around the Beck Diet Solution. So who knows, they could set it up soon, or later.
If they do, they could easily put aside an area for the guys.
I think guys have some different issues. Men don't generally have as much trouble saying no to others, and are less emotional in general about food, but also have different issues at play.
But the laws of physics are the same for everyone.
Also, I think a large male can burn a LOT more calories. For instance, I seem to be burning 3-4 lbs a week, but I am being a little aggressive. I feel great, I eat 3 square meals a day, and 3 snacks, but I keep the calories under control.
I am just eating normal and decent calories, and my body is burning off the fat at its own rate. I am cool with whateer it does, but I do want to smack down 20 lbs asap, so my bloody pants fit properly again! I REFUSED to buy bigger pants, so I would have to lose weight.
Basically the Beck CBT tools, helped my stop my junkfood overeating, and that's what is doing it.
I also have made a custom Excel worksheet, where I log my weight+graph, meals, count calories per meal and day, log exercise + calories, and calculate the calories needed based on weight, BMI, and everything else. Its all in one Excel workbook, in one place, and that is very powerful.
I am with this Beck Diet Solution program full-on for at least the rest of 2007.
That book is clearly one of the best "self-help" books ever written. Seriously.
