I'm now into Week 2 of "The Beck Diet Solution" and so far so good. As I mentioned in my last posting it's great that I've lost 16LBS in the first week, but what I'm really most excited about is how many great tools I feel I now have in my "mental arsenal".
But I have to be HONEST that even though I made it to the gym, ate mostly protein today, and I did read today's scheduled selection, by the time I did read it, it was just a few minutes ago, at 9:05 at night.
And as it was with going to the gym tonight, my head just isn't into doing any of it this late at night.
Lesson learned... morning people should do these types of things in the morning. So that's what I'll do. Read Day 8 again in the morning, and also commit to read each days selection in the morning so I can have all day to ponder and apply it's wisdom throughout the day.
Hmmm, I guess that's what she meant by her suggesting we "Create Time and Energy" for each day by creating a realistic schedule that we can stick to. Maybe I got the lesson in another way.
Oh, and in the spirit of being HONEST with myself, I never read my "Advantages of Losing Weight" cards today. A great example of how easy it can be to let the little things add up.
But I want to also give myself credit where credit is do, I DID EAT WELL, I DID STAY ON PLAN, I DID GO TO THE GYM and I DID READ DAY 8 and I DID KEEP UP MY BLOG ENTERIES! That felt good, I really like the idea of giving myself credit!
So tomorrow it'll be... gym in the morning, read Day 8 + Day 9 in the morning, apply what they say, and I promise to read my "Advantages of Losing Weight" cards 4 times tomorrow.
