This morning I got up very "grateful" that I was starting Monday with my new, very freeing 175LB mindset.
And keeping true to my promise to do my best to record daily my "Fully Clothed" weight each morning I stepped up on the scales [gym clothes and all] thinking my scale would come up around 335LBS, ehen the strangest thing happened.
I slid the weights to 335LBS and it didn't balance, it was showing that I could slide the bar lower.
I thought that was a little strange as I didn't eat horribly over the weekend, but by no means had I been pushing myself at the gym.

I had only been to the gym on Saturday for doing a moderate 35 mins incline training on the LifeFitness treadmill at NYSC in Livingston

Saturday I only had one meal that day at Maggiano's because if you've ever tried their family style lunch special, you can't eat anything else that day. Now don't get me wrong Im not complaining, the food was great, the price was amazing, $15.50 a person all you can eat, and I didn't even stuff myself, but after we were done with lunch I was done for the day with food.
Then yesterday I took a day off from the gym, had my usual Starbucks hit and one of their bran muffins. Stopped by my friend Joan's to say hi and I had a small piece of her son Matt's birthday cake, and that was pretty much it until we went to Jack + Les's [brother + sister-in-laws, who happen to be amazing cooks] for dinner where I had Jack's famous spaghetti + meatballs, and as always they were amazing. Yes I had some of his cheesy garlic bread and two Buds, but that was it. I was full but not stuffed.
As you can see, nothing really crazy, which is why I thought it was strange that it seemed I needed to keep sliding the bar lower on my scale.
So I started to slide it from 335LBS to 330LBS, nothing, to 325LBS, nothing, 320LBS, still not balanced, it wasn't until I got near 315LBS that it started to balance out. But it didn't make sense.
Ok, yes on Saturday I proclaimed that I now weighed 175LBS, mentally, not physically. And even thought I really believe in the power of "The Law Of Attraction" I must admit I'm not sure that I or anyone else could mentally drop 20LBS in 2 days.
Now I've sen my scale act a little wacky before, and if you have an adjustable scale you know that you really have to be careful to pay attention to how you stand and move around on it because you can make it swing either "weigh" a couple "LBS",
So at first I thought it was just acting funky so I must have gotten up and down off that scale a dozen times thinking that something would readjust the scale so that it would get back closer to 335LBS. But no matter what I tried the scale wouldn't start to balance out until I got near 315LBS.
So I moved the scale.
It was driving me nuts.
I set it up from our breakfast dining room to right smack dab in the center of the kitchen, "that'll get things back inline" I thought, and what came up on the scale... 335LBS.
No 315LBS.
So now that I entered this into my blog and while my mind is still fresh I'm off to they gym with a stop at the Emergency Room where I used to weigh myself in when I was topping the scale at 400LBS and my scale couldn't record anything over 350LBS.
I just want to see what the scale says at the hospital and then I'll see what it says at the gym, because in the past the scale at home and the gym are usually pretty close, only off from each other by a "LB" or two.
As Arnold would say "I'll be Back"!

We all know that you'll weigh in differently between different scales, but I have to believe that the digital scale, whatever you weigh in at has to be pretty accurate, so "Fully Clothed" I stepped onto the hospitals Scale-Tronix digital scale and my moment of truth was revealed.

I weighed in at 342.9LBS, still 57LBS+ less than I weighed when the scale at one time topped 400LBS.
So when I got the gym I thought I'd see how close their scale was to what the hospital scale recorded my weight at. Pretty much right on the money, as I weighed in at 344LBS on their Health o meter scale.

So with that info in my head I hopped on the treadmill entered in 344LBS into their calorie calculator and in 35 mins. burned 607 calories.

Now here's "the rest of the story", when I got home, I thought I'd see if my scale had for some reason come back to it's senses.

I was right my scale was possesed, now it was showing that I weighed 305LBS.
That scale has got to go!
